My Beloved Mother

The most important person in my life is my mother. My mother is a woman who has given birth of me to this world. For me, she is the best woman in this world because she has been keeping and caring me up till now. My mother always remainds  me when I made a mistake. She is very patient and never angry. In addition, she keeps and takes care of me when I was sick. Besides, she always supports me when I slumped. Although she was tired, she always does all the housework. She is the first teacher for me, she taught me everything that I never know before. I often wish I can be like her, a good mother and wife. She is my mother, the most important person in my life.

A Short Story Of My Beautiful Friend

          I have a short story about my classmate. Ratna Gustanti is one of my baeutiful friends in my class. Why do I say so? First, she has beautiful face and good looking. Then, she has excellent behaviour and very humble. Third, she is so smart and she never arrogant with all yhe strength she has. The thing that I like most are the dress and glasses she wears, for it can make the people who see her are spellbound. That's a story about a beautiful friend in my class.

The National Monument

      Today, I am going to tell about the history of  The National Monument. The National Monument is in the centre of Merdeka Square. It is situated between the old Jakarta and the new one. The monument was built in 1961 to remember Indonesia's fight for independence from the Dutch. The monument is 167 metres high and it has 35 kilograms of gold leaf on its stop. The gold leaf looks like a flame - the flame of freedom.

      Visitors can ride in the elevator to just below the flame (115 metres high). From here you can see most of downtown Jakarta, and you can look down on noisy Merdeka Squares (one square kilometre), one of the largest squares in the world. When you come down from the top. You can visit the museum at the bottom of the monument. Here you can see diromas showing Indonesia's history.

THE RULE TO MAKE GIF PICTURE

         To make our work more interesting, gif animation is the most appropriate. With animated images, we can make our work more fun and not boring. And it would be mora fun, if we could create own animations as we want. And this time I will give you some informations about the rule to make gif animation. The rule to make it is really simple. Lets follow my steps below. Please read carefully. 

 1. Prepare a maximum of 10 images (PNG format, JPG, JPEG) in a computer document that you wanted to change to a gif image

2. Visit the site http://gickr.com

3. Click "upload images from you computer"

4. Click the "Browse" and select the image that already you prepared it before.

5. Repeat these steps to enter the picture beyond a maximum of 10 images.

6. At the bottom of the browse files that have been there a few columns. The first column contains the options (SIZE) for adjust the size of your gif images that will be generated later. The second column is the column selection (SPEED) to adjust the speed of access.

7. Click "NEXT"

8 Wait a minute process and will appear gif image of the pictures that we selected earlier, save and animated images have been already to use.

Ragunan

       Today, I am going to tell you about my holiday at Ragunan. on January 30 this year. I went with my family, many kinds of animals that we saw. I thought Ragunan Zoo is better than other zoos in Indonesia. It also the largest one. Ragunan is situated in the suburb of Pasar Minggu, about 16 kilometers south of the city centre. The zoo opens daily from 9 am to 6 pm. Ragunan is not asa crowded as Surabaya's famous zoo.

     I believe that, zoo is a favourite place for children and young people, for a lots of animals and birds. Whenever you feel hungry, there are plenty of food stalls. The food stalls sell typical foods such as Nasi Goreng and Soto Ayam. They also serve iced drinks. I really happy to visit that place; therefore, you must go there to relax your heart.

The Countryside and The City

         I believe life in the countryside is more relaxed than in the city. We wake up in the morning and have a nice breakfast like cassava or other root crops. We live and work on the farm. We do not have to run out of our house and queue to get on a bus. We do not have to fight to get on a crowded bus for an hour. We can relax. We walk out the rice fields and do our work. While we are working we talk to our neighbours. We listen to the latest news from the district so we give our opinion on the latest scandal. We can relax for a while and then start to work again. There is no hurry, if we do not finish the work today, we can finish it tomorrow unlike in the city, which all work must be completed on time. Actually I prefer to live in villages rather than having to stay in town with all the boring activity density.

The History of Bandung City

           Yesterday I had a presentation about history of Bandung city, and today I want tell about it. The city history dates from 1488 when the first reference to Bandung exists. The people lived on the banks of the Cikapundung in north Bandung and on the shores of the Great Lake of Bandung. After the Indonesian Independence in 1945, Bandung was determined as the capital of West Java province. During the 1945-1949  independence struggle against the Dutch when they wanted to reclaim their colonies, Bandung was one of the heaviest battle places. The Dutch military commander set an ultimatum for the Indonesian combatants in Bandung to leave the city. In response, on 24 March 1946, much of the southern part of Bandung was deliberately set alight as the combatants left; an event known as the Bandung Lautan Api or Bandung Sea of Flame.Today’s Bandung is a sprawling city of 2.7 million people and suffers from many of the same problems as other Indonesian cities. The Poor Man and The Rich Man

           Today I want to story about the poor man and the rich man. In a famous village in Jakarta, there was a poor cobbler and a rich businessman were neighbours. The cobbler's house was also his workshop. He sang merrily while mending shoes. He never felt it necessary to should and lock the door and windows of his house. At night he would say his prayers and go to bed. He enjoyed sound sleep all through the night.

        The rich man always saw the merry cobbler. He saw that there was nothing that worried his poor neighbour. But the rich man was full of worries himself. He could neither sing nor smile. He always should and locked each and every door and window of his house at night. He could never sleep peacefully. He was always worried about the safety of his wealth. 

            On day the rich man called the cobbler to his house. So he gives him five thousand rupiahs and said." I don't need this money. Please keep it with you. It's yours."

            At first the cobbler was happy to receive the money. But soon the big amount of money disturbed his peaceful life. For the first time he closed and locked the door and windows of his house. He woke up several time during the night to make sure that the money was safe.

            The next morning the cobbler went to his rich neighbour's house. He said to the rich man,"Sir, please take back your money so that my merry songs and sound sleep can come back to me."

             From this story, I believe that wealth does not always bring happiness for us. I hope this story can  be useful and have good value for those who read it.

The Bear and The Two Friends

          Hasan and Husen were good friends. One day they were passing through a forest. One their way, they saw a bear coming towards them. Hasan ran and climbed up a nearby tree. Husen did not know, the skill of climbing tree. But he had a good mind. He had heard that wild animals do not hurt dead bodies; therefor, he lay down on the ground. He closed his eyes and held back his breath. The bear came to Husen. He sniffed Husen's face. He thought that the man was dead. He went away.

          When the bear was out of sight, Hasan climbed down the tree. He went to Husen and asked, ''What did thee bear tell you into your ear?'' Husen retorted, ''He told me to keep away from a selfish friend like you."

            From this story we can take a lesson that a friend in need is a friend indeed.

The New Year

          The new year is a celebration in which a culture celebrates the end of one year and marked the start of the count next year, and for me a new year is time for our self to reflection of all the mistakes that we have made in the past year and change our attitude to be better than ever. Last night when everyone was busy with their show each. Me and my family prefer to watch television together at home while enjoying gulai kambing that we bought at one of our favorite restaurant. Has become our custom in every celebration of the new year to stay at home and watch television together for a lot of interesting films that aired on television every new year, and last night me and my family was watching a horror film that aired in one of television’s station entitled Kutukan Suster Ngesot and Pocong Kamar Sebelah, the films are very creepy and make the fur back of our neck stand up. We watched till two o’clock in the morning, but that didn’t make us forget to perform our subuh prayer. Hopefully the people who celebrate the new year last night also didn’t forget to perform their subuh prayer.

Signs of Judgement Day

The fifth pillars of faith is faith in the final day or the day of Judgement, which means we must be convinced of the existence of eternal life after life in this world. And there are some signs of doomsday are:
-The birth of someone who called himself Muhammad al-Mahdi, one fair and honest.
-The emergence of Dajjal who make mischief in the land.
-The emergence of two creatures named Ya'juj and Ma'juj.
-The descent of the Prophet Isa, from the sky.
-The emergence of animals that can speak like humans.
-The rising sun from the west.
-Many women doubled outnumber men.
-Indigent people racing to build luxury homes.
-Immoral act more rampant.
-The loss of the Qur'an by the comments and liver, and no one who memorized the Qur'an.
-Many children are rebellious to their parents.
-Many men like women and vice versa.
Hopefully by knowing this, we can better improve ourselves.

My Grandmother

Today I want to tell about my lovely grandmother. She is the grandmother of the most I care. She is very concern care with me. Although she was old, she still looks very beautiful, but now she was still asleep, to sleep forever. Yesterday at 11.00 p.m I got rang from my aunt and she said that my grandmother was pass away. I am very sad to hear that, so me n my family went to there. Actually I can not to resist my sadness, but I didn't want to cry in front of the deceased. She was buried around 11.15. I hope she can calm in nature, and forgiven all her sins. Please God put hers on the side of Your best.

The Natural Disaster

         I don't know, what the causes of natural disaster that happen in this earth are. Whether caused by the aging of our earth, of human activity alone, or the wrath of God who has seen our behavior. If we see the situation of our earth especially our country, the situation have been broking. Why I say that, because in my opinion, our country have many problems. Among them we are still not able to keep our earth, so many peoples do immoral everywhere and injustice toward fellow human beings especially those middle class. In conclusion, I think natural disasters that happened in our earth are caused by our hand, we are not able to maintain the mandate given by God so that makes our God into a rage.

My Close Friend

      Today I want to tell about my close friend in senior high school. His name is Khoirul Fahmy, but I called him by Fahmy. I was friends with him since the beginning of school. He is very kind to me, he always listens my problems and looking for the solutions. We always getting together, he was definitely there when I needed him. Sometimes we did our assignment together and we graduated from senior high school with good grades. Now he goes to Bandung to continue his study. Although  the distance between us is far, we always keep our communication for cooperative relations between us will not be broken. I wish I could meet him again. 

My Ex-boyfriend

        When I in second semester, I had acquainted with a man who was eight years older than me. We met at Trans Jakarta shelter. After that acquaintanceship I often meet him and going together. The actually that man was old enough but he has baby face so his face is not as old his age. He has not got married but he had a fiancee. I knew it means I must not disturb his relationship with his fiancee, but at that time I thought before the yellow leaf curved then there is no harm to me close to him. We had many activities that we had done together such as taking a walk, shoping, and watching movie together. We did not feel we had got together around  two months. The firstly I just wanted to fool around but over time I had other feelings to him and he also had the same feelings with me. Someday he said to me that he loved me and he want to marry me, he will leave his fiancee if I want to be his wife, but I don't think so, because I was young so my future still long and I have not ready to get married. After all I decided to leave him and end this relationship. So a few weeks ago I got word that he will marry with his fiancee in this month. I was very surprised to hear that news but are even more interesting is when I know that his fiancee is my best friend's sister. Oh my God, thanks for giving the correct instructions, as if I am still continuing my relationship with him it means I am going to hurt many people especially my friendship. Although in the fact, I am still love him but I think this the best way for me, for him, for his fiancee and the most important is for my friendship. I hope this experience can be a lesson for me and readers.

My Lovely Room

       When I in senior high school, I had had own room. My mother gave me room to be able to teach my own responsibility with what I  have. I could not leave the house if I have not tidied my room. There are various kinds of objects in my room, and I put it neatly.

       In my room there are beds for two people and two pairs of pillow bolsters because sometimes my younger sister sleep together with me. There is a cupboard in my room right corner, and in the left corner there is a bookshelf, so there is a fan beside it. In my room there were many dolls, even though I don't very like with them. So the most important is I love my room. My room is very comfortable for me, because I can release all my feelings and expressiveness in my room.

The Biggest Problem To Achieve My Goals

     In learning English there are various types of lessons we will learn, such as grammar, writing, reading, vocab, listening, speaking and etc. And in the learning process there must be lessons that we think is the most difficult lesson. And for me, the most difficult lesson is listening because there are some aspects that made my Listening subject becomes difficult. So what really makes difficult in listening are.

     When I learn Listening subject, I always feel dizzy and confused because when the native speakers make a statement, story or conversation, often times there is some vocabulary that has never I heard so I do not know it means, and also the way they talk are very fast. Sometimes the sounds in conversation or story that tested in Listening subject is very unclear. I know that, because of they speak very fast. These are the aspect that why I feel Listening subject is the most difficult in learning English, it also the biggest problem for me to achieve my wish.

My Leisure Time

      I have many activities in my leisure time. When in holiday, I usually spend my time to help my mom in the kitchen, so we make many kinds of  food together. Sometimes I also playing with my younger sister nor watching television with my family. But if I have many assignment of course I much prefer working on my tasks and then I repeat my last lesson.When in campus, I use my leisure time to discuss with my friends discuss the lessons that we have not understood. So I go to library to read some book with my friends to add our science. But more often,  I go to my friend's rent house to share with my friends about our problems and looking for the solution.
